Research Interests

I completed my BSc and MSc in Interdisciplinary Sciences at ETHZ, specializing in Chemistry and Material Sciences. Following an internship in industry at Roche, I started my PhD in the Schlüter group in 2014.

My research interest lies in the synthesis and characterization of two-dimensional polymers (2DP) at the air-water interface. Currently I am focusing on the two main approaches to 2DP which involve either single crystals or spreading at the air-water interface. For that purpose I not only pursue novel synthetic schemes but also explore the behavior of already existing monomers at the interface.
