Suzuki polycondensation
Main content
Suzuki polycondensation was discovered in 1987 and since then has been developed into a versatile and powerful tool for the synthesis of polyarylenes, including technical realization. The group has recently achieved the synthesis of a poly(m,p-phenylene) in the molar mass range of 300 kg/mole. This polymer is currently being used to create the unsubstituted analogue as a novel material for fibers with strengths in an attractive range.
